I’m a psych major. I’m incredibly interested in all aspects of social psychology, but I’d say some of my favorite issues are gender equality, diversity, religion, education (that’s a biggie), and generally any social programs that are currently in place here in the US. I want to be a member of the Zaadz community because it seems to me that your philosophies are a bit different than most approaches to certain issues. Your ideas about capitalism, for example, were very intriguing to me. I very much support the use of business and profit to encourage a positive outcome for society. My favorite example of this are the new red iPods and gap merchandise benefitting the fight against world poverty and AIDS. I have ideas as well as to how we can use capitalism and businesses to benefit society.

I’m a member of ONE, I wholeheartedly support PETA, though I’m not a vegetarian (I’ll never eat a butterball turkey again though!). I do not claim a party affiliation, but I generally vote democratic. I’d consider myself an independent liberal with a tighter grasp on economy… :) I was a Girl Scout for 10 years and loved it. I’m agnostic and bisexual. I don’t really believe in categories or limitations when it comes to experiencing the world.

I’m very driven and opinionated. I’m also very passionate about fairness and equality, conserving the environment, and setting a good example for our nation’s children. I believe in social responsibility, and I believe more people (especially young people!) should vote.

I work hard and live on my own. I pay my own tuition with no grants or subsidized loans. I rely on scholarships and loans with unusually high interest rates. haha. And my waitressing job. I don’t complain about that. I feel everyone should work hard for what they have.

Aside from all that, some of my hobbies include singing, playing guitar, crocheting, writing, cooking, reading, blogging (duh), watching movies, spending time with the love of my life, camping, and occasionally drinking. I hate TV. I don’t even have cable. I find more productive ways to occupy my time :) If you wanna talk, shoot me a message! I love to chat.
